Did You Know...

... that Creeps has been the Dutch top team for three years in three different competition classes?

Rookie Class in 2008
posted Dec 4th, 2010 - The ISR Grand Prix 2010, last weekend's indoor competition in the Netherlands, had a AA Class competition, as well.

The situation in this category was very similar compared to the AAA Class competition where NMP-PCH Hayabusa, the Belgian national 4-way team, was far ahead of the rest of the field. The Dutch team Creeps (21.3) created the same significant distance to the team in 2nd place, Indefinately (17.9), as Hayabusa did in the AAA Class.

It was also very similar, as it was not a big surprise that Creeps won the tunnel meet so clearly. Gerbrig Busman, Madelon de Beer, Reind Mosterd and Ronald Zuydendorp had previously won the two outdoor meets in the Netherlands that they attended, with a 12.4 average at the Tomscat Trophy 2010 and an 11.5 average at the national championships.

Creeps also competed at the ESL Championship 2010 and helped the Dutch delegation to win the ESL Spirit for the 4th time. The 13.2 average was the team's highest average of the 2010 season and won the 2nd place behind the Belgian team FWCP.

Serges Angels and Cool Runnings have been trying to get close to Creeps at the outdoor meets throughout the 2010 season and could also not keep up with the Dutch top team in the AA Class at the indoor competition.

Those three Dutch team that attended the meets of the outdoor season in the Netherlands eventually confirmed the same ranking order at the indoor competition in Roosendaal. The YouTube photo gallery below provides snapshots of several of the teams at the meet.

AA Class in 2010
Creeps had also dominated the Rookie Class competition in the Netherlands throughout the team's first season in 2008. Creeps moved up into the A Class in 2009 and continued to be the Dutch top team in the new category. The 1st place at the ESL Championship 2009 in the United Kingdom was the highlight of the 2009 season.

The third year for the team brought the third competition class, and coach Sven Ibens prepared the Creeps members for the extended dive pool of the AA Class. The ISR Grand Prix 2010 was the first indoor competition for Creeps, and the exciting scores motivated the team to make plans for the upcoming World Challenge 2011 in Bedford.

It would be no surprise if Creeps takes on the AAA Class dive pool next year. It would be the most natural and logical progression after one year in each of the previous three categories. However, it will probably be much more difficult to get to the Dutch top spot in the AAA Class...
