Today's story brings back information and memories of the second Paraclete meet, which was held on June 13 - 14 in 2009. The leaderboard shows Perris Fury ahead of Arizona Airspeed in 1st place, with a 29.8 average after ten rounds.
It was the first time that Airspeed was defeated in any 4-way competition since 2007. However, there is more to this story, and there are several interesting aspects leading from the past into the current situation at the top of the US 4-way world.

By the way, there seems to be something special about a 29.8 average. The Paraclete winners in 2008 and 2009 both had 29.8 averages on the scoreboard after ten rounds, and Perris Fury copied the same number once again in Bedford this year.
NMP-PCH Hayabusa posted the highest indoor average ever with the 32.9 at the ISR Grand Prix 2010. It does not really compare though, as the meet had only seven rounds and a limited dive pool.
Thomas Hughes and John Eagle joined forces for Airspeed's front piece, while Andy Delk and Mark Kirkby had the original rear piece. The team name changed to Arizona Speed for the meet, and Thomas Hughes was back together in the same lineup for a day with his former Fastrax Center Inside Mark Kirkby in the Tail slot.
They both tried to keep up with Josh Hall who was Perris Fury's Point by then. This 3-way is now the new Airspeed lineup, together with Niklas Hemlin. John Eagle was back as the Arizona Speed Point for a day in 2009, the slot where he had made history with Airspeed years ago.
Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard will miss the Paraclete 2011 event once again, for a different reason though. They are moving to Dubai at the beginning of the new year and will still join the Airspeed reunion with Andy Delk and Mark Kirkby at the Dubai Championship 2011.
John Eagle continues with Paraclete XP4 and will try to defend the indoor home turf in February. He is back in his Point slot after training and competing for Paraclete XP4 as the Tail in 2009 and 2010. He switches slots with John D'Annunzio. The 3rd Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships promise more great tunnel competition and the first preview of the US 4-way situation on the top next year.
