Did You Know...

... that SDC Rhythm XP is aiming at the bronze medals in 2011?

Rhythm founders JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz
posted Dec 17th, 2010 - The NSL News reported on 15 December 2010 that SDC Rhythm XP was the US competition team of the year 2010 in the AAA/Open Class after attending a total of seven meets.

The same story provided more background information and a brief review of the first full time season as skydivers and competitors for Thiago Gomes, Rob Radez, Janette and Steve Lefkowitz. The NSL News also mentioned the invitation to the Rhythm members to lay out the plans for the 2011 season.

JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz were able to help follow up quickly, and they visited the NSL office in DeLand just a few days after the previous story. The married couple, both MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) graduates, took the time to discuss their skydiving career with the NSL News in length, while NSL-TV added Rhythm meet videos of the 2010 season (Shamrock Showdown, World Challenge, FSL April) to the clip.

JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz founded the Rhythm team project in December 2006. Laurent Beaudouin was the third original team member, while player coach Robert Chromy guided the new team through the first two years.

It took only three years and a few personnel changes until JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz ended up with a lineup that was ready to go all the way. Rob Radez and Thiago Gomes committed to a plan that required all members to become full time skydivers and competitors.

The NSL News has followed SDC Rhythm XP throughout the whole team career and continued with updates that document a dream progression so far. There is still nothing that can slow down the efforts or change the passion that all current team members still have, especially the two original members.

The live NSL Talk provides a preview of Rhythm's 2011 season, which will be even more intense compared to all earlier years. The main goal of the 2011 season is the bronze medal position at the USPA Nationals. JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz explained during the NSL Talk why there could not be a different goal.

SDC Rhythm XP was already a part of the race for bronze medals at the USPA Nationals 2010 but could eventually not keep up with the Golden Knights and Paraclete XP4. THis could easily change this year after 750 outdoor training jumps and a lot of additional wind tunnel time.

Rhythm will stay in Florida until May 2011 and then move back north to the team's summer home turf at Skydive Chicago. The Rhythm members plan to be just as much involved with their team projects in the winter and bring them to the Florida skydiving community now. The Team-For-A-Day camps at Skydive Sebastian have already begun. The Rhythm website offers additional information about the projects and how to contact the team.
