Did You Know...

... that new videos feature Airspeed's Round 7 and Alpha Armada's Round 3?

Dropzone options in Dubai
posted Jan 10th, 2011 - Round 7 has been completed at the Dubai Championship 2011, teams and audience are waiting for the scores. Most of the Arizona Airspeed comments are coming from on-line provider Andy Delk who is also uploading the videos. Airspeed's Round 7 is already available, together with a brief note:

"Round 7 is complete for all of formation skydiving and they are saving the final round for tomorrow. Our round 7 was definitely scrappy and we can't help but think we left some on the table after that round. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the scoreboard says. Craig didn't say this jump was awesome.... but it was ok!"

The teams were still dropped at the same location as for the first six rounds. However, it was most likely the only competition round for today, as the weather forecast is still not very promising for the afternoon in Dubai.

Alpha Armada with Karen Lewis in Dubai
The six teams in the 4-way Female Class started this morning. Alpha Armada's Hannah Betts reported that Aerodyne Cypres/Deep Blue added two more points to the lead. The US team finished Round 7 with 18 points, and France had a 20.

This would wrap up the competition for the $20,000 in the female category. It is very unlikely that the reigning French world champions would give up a 7-point lead in one round, unless some kind of disaster strikes.

Alpha Armada's videographer Karen Lewis, who was filming Perris Fury for years and also at the USPA Nationals 2010, uploaded the video of Round 3. It was the only one where Alpha Armada outscored France with a world class performance and reduced the French lead to one single point.
