... that it's the final countdown to the first complete 2011 leaderboard?

It is time to get ready for Round 8 at the Dubai Championship 2011. The weather does not seem to be perfect but probably good enough to get it done.
The NSL News put together the videos of the three top teams in Round 7 as the last preview before Round 8 will bring the final conclusion - or not. The audience has the opportunity to compare the jumps directly and see who might have the best momentum going into the final round.
NMP-PCH Hayabusa won the last round with a 24-pointer and caught up with Aerodyne Aerokart. Belgium and France are now tied in 1st place. Hayabusa seems to have the best momentum for the final round. Roy Janssen, David and Andy Grauwels won bronze medals with Luc Verstrepen in the lineup in Maubeuge 2008. Then they placed 4th with Waedong So at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. Now they have Dennis Praet in the Point slot.
Aerodyne Aerokart, the French national team for the next two years, is tied in 1st place after seven rounds and had the second highest score of 23 points. Julien Degen, Guillaume and Mathieu Bernier are the reigning 4-way world champions. New member Emmanuel "Manu" Sarrazin is a French 8-way world champion of 2006 and 2008. Point Mathieu Bernier is the first competitor in the history of Formation Skydiving competition who won 4-way and 8-way gold medals at the same world meet. Guillaume Bernier is also swooping in Dubai and has already made a jump today.
Arizona Airspeed fell two points behind Hayabusa and France with the 22-pointer in Round 7 after being tied with the Belgian team at the end of Round 6. Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard and Andy Delk won the 4-way gold medals at the World Meet 2008 in Maubeuge and then silver in Menzelinsk 2010. Former Tail Mark Kirkby has formed a new lineup to continue, while John Eagle is competing in Dubai at the last meet for the leaving Airspeed lineup.
Both blocks in the sequence of Round 8 (G,9,8) were not the favorite ones for Hayabusa in Menzelinsk 2010, while Airspeed and Aerodyne Aerokart did very well with both. It's the last opportunity now to throw in your ballot one more time at the Open Class poll. Videos and the scores will probably follow soon.
