One of the top teams' competition jumps in Dubai have not been shown yet. Again it was CYPRES representative Rob "Dutch" Kendall who helped the NSL News to a few videos of the leader in the 4-way Female Class, Aerodyne Cypres, formerly known as Deep Blue.
The NSL News has covered the French national team since it was formed at the end of the 2007 season. Sophie Deremaux, Bérangère Duplouy, Françoise Simons-Hamouchi and Amélie Tirman eventually won the gold medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 and set new performance and scoring standards for the female category.
There were certain reasons why the team members knew earlier that they would not continue in 2011. Françoise Simons-Hamouchi mentioned last year that she was planning for an addition to her family. It was confidential information, and the NSL News never posted a word.
The NSL News did not know that another Deep Blue member had similar plans. However, fact is that Aerodyne Cypres is competing with a 6-way in Dubai, or a 7-way including videographer Stephane Mistrot Di Pachet. Bérangère Duplouy and Françoise Simons-Hamouchi both are pregnant in their 14th week. Great team work - congratulations.
The calculator and calendar together show that it took Françoise Simons-Hamouchi only two months after the World Meet 2010 to follow up and succeed. That's a competitive world champion attitude... It got even better and showed the incredible Deep Blue team dynamics when Bérangère Duplouy got pregnant almost exactly at the same time.
Françoise Simons-Hamouchi still made a very important point: "We don't know whether we are waiting for a boy or a girl. But we do know that we have no twins and that the babies don't have the same father..."
The NSL News has permission now to announce the happy news. Françoise Simons-Hamouchi said that she and Bérangère Duplouy could not keep it a secret any longer after arriving in Dubai. It was too obvious...
