Aerodyne Aerokart's videographer Olivier Henaff, reigning 4-way world champion, recently posted a video that features his own team in Dubai, as well. He seems to be closer to this kind of artwork since he is using the camera all the time due to his job for the team. However, his new video was a good reason to pick up a topic that his team mates mentioned when they celebrated the gold medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010.
Olivier Henaff also has something in common with two of his 4-way team mates, brothers Guillaume and Mathieu Bernier. He has a brother, too, who is very actively involved in skydiving competition. In fact, Ronan Henaff was also competing in Dubai while brother Olivier was filming the French national 4-way team.
Ronan Henaff finished tied in 5th place in Dubai in a field of 140 competiors while brother Olivier won the silver medals in 4-way. He has over 10,000 jumps total, and his brother Olivier has passed the 12,000 mark. The Henaff brothers pursued Style & Accuracy excellence and success together before Olivier eventually switched to Formation Skydiving competition.
They were both still in the French Style & Accuracy national teams in 2007. Olivier Henaff joined the Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge lineup at the beginning of the 2010 season and competed on the 4-way camera for the first time at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010.
Olivier Henaff has decided to continue with the new 4-way lineup, and he has his first 4-way competition of the 2011 season behind him, which came with a $15,000 check for his team in Dubai. His brother Ronan missed the money positions in the individual event (5th) and also in Team Accuracy (5th).
Olivier is now traveling to Arizona by himself, the Valentine's Meet 2011 has only a 4-way competition. Ronan neither has a slot at the same location when Aerodyne Aerokart competes at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 nor at the World Challenge 2011. Maybe next year in Dubai again...
