Did You Know...

... that Becca's 3rd Bootie Boogie is coming up this weekend?

Becca with FSC Wind Damaged at SkyQuest 2010
posted Feb 15th, 2011 - This weekend brings the next Becca's Bootie Boogie to the skydiving community in Florida. It's the 3rd time that Becca Lynn organizes this event for bootie and belly flyers after great success in the first two years.

Becca Lynn is a passionate bootie flyer herself and competed with FSC Wind Damaged at the NSL Championship 2010 last time where her team finished tied in 1st place with Perris Jimani.

This year's Bootie Boogie is scheduled for Friday, February 18, through Sunday, February 20, once again at Skydive Sebastian. The latest update with event information included a long list of supportive coaches and load organizers:

Becca's Bootie Boogie 2011

This is a unique boogie that is more like an RW camp at an incredibly affordable price. You have a rare opportunity to jump with, and get training from, top-notched highly experienced RW competition coaches for all skill levels - beginner to advanced.

Participants are jumping in small groups of three to five people with similar skill levels, so that each coach/organizer can design skydives that will benefit the group for their common goals. This format results in participants receiving excellent personalized coaching in formation skydiving, no matter what the skill level. We also assign you a video flyer so that your coach can provide an accurate debriefing of each jump.

The registration fee is only $30 and includes the coaching/organizing and video services. The participants only have to share the costs for the video slot at the discounted rate of $15, which means that the video will cost no more than $5 for a jump. The $30 registration fee also includes Friday night pizza and a fully catered Bootie Boogie BBQ and entertainment Saturday night. Pre-registered participants will also be entered into a drawling to win free jump tickets. Pre-registration can be done on-line on the bottom of the linked page.

Karl and Cherie Schuch with Steve and JaNette Lefkowitz
Last not least, Cherie and Karl Schuch will help Becca to keep things rolling and all participants happy at this year's Bootie Boogie. Both have been comnpeting in 4-way for many years and are always ready to provide help and advice. They have been working on Aerodyne's Advance Skydive Project last year.

The Bootie Boogie 2011 begins with organized jumps on Friday throughout the day. The Twin Otters will then continue flying under a bright full moon for night jumps. Registered jumpers will enjoy a free pizza dinner in the evening, while the Zoo Bar will offer beer specials and music.

The schedule for Saturday includes the normal coaching and organizing operationa and a 6-way competition. The fully catered BBQ dinner will start at 6:00pm, followed by a "surprise entertainment show" at 8:00pm. The party the continues with music and drinks at Skydive Sebastian's Tiki Bar.

Boarding at Becca's Bootie Boogie 2010
Organized jumping continues on Sunday before the the party resumes momentum in the evening. Becca is not planning to stop early, as Monday is a holiday: "Monday is a holiday! Woo hoo! So we will be partying into the Sunday evening with videos from the boogie, music, drink specials, and dinner."

And she plans to offer coaching and load organizing even on Monday if some participants are still not tired by then: "Monday will be an informal day of jumping but with enough interest, we can put something more structured in place. Let us know if there is interest for anything on Monday, whether organizing, competitions, scrambles, hit n' chugs - whatever we want. Some organizers are available to stick around, so let us know."

Becca can answer any questions on Facebook, and participants can also reach her or the manifest in Sebastian at 772-388-5672.
