Katie Woods was helping out in 8-way since the Norgies were still missing Sissel Maria Finnseth. The Polaris member, who has trained and competed with the Norwegian national 4-way team in the female category in 2010, is coming to DeLand later. Katie Woods is helping out in the meantime.
The former Satori member will also compete at the Shamrock Showdown. She has a British 4-way lineup as a player coach. XL member Steve Hamilton is the other player coach. The NSL News will have the opportunity to ask him about the XL lineup for the World Challenge 2011.
Brian Johnson is still coaching the Furies, and the NSL News was at the dropzone on the first training day. The Furies are the third all-female lineup who will compete at the Shamrock Showdown, along with the French Deep Blue Defenders and Germany's ISB Air.
The Furies had a personnel change for the 2011 season. Rhonda Wilcox is back in the Center Inside slot and replaces 2010 member Sarah Lawrence. She was with the Furies when they won the gold medals in the Advanced Class at the USPA Nationals 2009.
SonicNutz, British top contender this year, finally has a new team photo on the team page for the Shamrock Showdown. It took about three days until the NSL News found all team members at the same time and at the same place. The training schedule of all teams is very busy, and there is not much spare time for public relations.
By the way, the NSL News could not raise enough funds for a new version of a real TV Show this year. Joey Jones lost his 2010 job, unfortunately. However, he will surely be back for more NSL-TV anchoring, and the local and regional media will still participate.
