Paul Mayer's latest innovation by then, the FlowHouse, was ready for a demo, even though the facilities were not ready for the public at this point in time. That was not the case for the luxurious spa and health suite, as the live NSL Talk with Paul Mayer and XL members in the warm water of the pool shows in the video clip of 2010.
Paul Mayer explained in another interview that the FlowHouse facilities will also include the new FlowHouse Bar & Grill, which will be open in time for the World Challenge 2011. He also promised that the fully licensed bar will have Boddingtons in the beer selection, the Cream of Manchester. The NSL News is ready to investigate the current situation in a few weeks, together with the 61 currently registered teams.
The information package for the participants of the World Challenge 2011 included more details and Paul Mayer's welcome note:
"This is now the sixth Bodyflight World Challenge, and the event is almost unrecognisable from the very first competition back in 2006. In that event there was just one 4-way FS category and one Free Fly. This year we are running 4 competitions within the FS and two in Free Fly! In the 2006 event less then ten countries were represented, whilst this year the judging panel alone has nine different nationalities, with many more making up the list of entered teams. The Bodyflight centre has changed beyond recognition in the intervening years as well, with the new Flowhouse, Bar and Grill, Leisure centre and high ropes activities all on offer. Give them a try while your here!"
It is surely very much worthwhile bringing at least a swimsuit to the World Challenge 2011...
The information package included details of the logistics, as well. Paul Mayer has scheduled the official flying time for training and determining the team specific air speed for Friday late afternoon and evening. Then he plans to complete five rounds on Saturday and five rounds on Sunday.
He has a total of twelve judges for the 4-way competition (Head Judge Ruth Cooper and Chanel Gibbens-Robinson, Elisabet Pettersson, Rina Gallo, Thierry Courtin, Sue Dixon, Jurate Janusauskiene, Frank Mallabone, Pekka Salmela, Liz Warner, Penny Wiggins, Gill Winter). The competition draw will be handed to the teams at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning. Round 1 is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
