There were still several different ways how to engineer this sequence. Almost the whole French delegation had the "hopper" of Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) do a 180 turn to build the Bipole of Block 14, while the three team mates held their positions. This was only one of three or four different ways how to engineer the sequence.
It was also a round where the top teams would once again be very close to each other, just by the nature of the sequence. This was also the case in Round 6 where all top contenders were separated by only two points.
France Maubeuge was even more desperate to show that the team is better than the standings show. The defending champion cannot win the meet any longer after the terrible Round 3. The highscore in Round 6 was a great start of the day and will bring back confidence.
Not much will change from here on at the top of the leaderboard, at least not for the 1st or 2nd place. The sequences of the remaining rounds will not allow any team to make a big move. Only a serious meltdown could bring a change, and the teams are too well trained and experienced. By the way: the new Satori lineup is very strong, and the new Russian team SportLotto is also quietly making a strong statement. The NSL News will get to those two topics later. Scores are next.
