Omniskore's Tim Wagner shares the room with the NSL News and kindly helped with advice on any technical issues. He was busy himself preparing the judging stations for three panels and everything for DZ-TV. The NSL News is plugged into the DZ-TV system and will most likely be able to upload NSL-TV frequently.
SSL videographer Paul Quade manages the whole dubbing procedure in Perris and was also available at any time with help and advice.
The show followed an opening ceremony with parachute demos and flight maneuvers by the Perris plane fleet, including the roaring take-off and flyover of the DC9. The opening ceremony also included awards for previous and already completed events.
When the NSL work station was completely set up, the NSL News had enough time to look around and see how the teams were preparing on the last day before the official start of the competition. Most of the 4-way teams took it easy and made just a few jumps later in the morning.
Dan BC has been helping Fastrax with advice randomly throughout the 2005 season. He mentioned that he never had the chance to really work with the team at any camps.
However, the team send him videos and exchanged e-mails for the debriefing.
He said that he is impressed with the team's efforts and that Fastrax is the only team that lacks the direct access to the same experiences that all the other top teams have collected over many years of top level competition. This was also a reason why he tried to help with his advice.
The NSL News will continue to upload live interviews with other teams, coaches and competitors.
The competition draw is scheduled for 6:00 pm, and the next interview will hopefully follow the draw. Stay tuned.
