Did You Know...

... that UK team Raykipo connects Rookie and A Class leaderboards of 2011?

A Class winner at the World Challenge 2011: Kinetix from Ireland
posted May 8th, 2011 - The first 6-round outdoor competition in the United Kingdom has been completed successfully and somehow surprisingly since the weather forecast was not very promising. The final scores will be posted later today.

The NSL News first goes back to the A Class competition at the World Challenge 2011 where four of the five teams were from the United Kingdom. The NSL News reported on 5 April 2011 how Kinetix from Ireland had outscored the British teams.

The video clip that came with the story featured the Irish teams in Bedford, including Kinetix, and the NSL News pointed out the flawless Irish performance. Today's new video clip shows all A Class teams at the World Challenge 2011 with their last three rounds of the competition.

Rookie Class in 2010: Raykipo
Only Enigma's team name, at least in parts, is also on this weekend's A Class leaderboard. However, this does not mean that all other team names are new to the NSL News audience. In fact, only two of the six A Class teams had to be added to the database.

The team on the top of the leaderboard after Round 2 caught instant NSL News attention when the first scores became available. Raykipo was last year's busiest Rookie Class team in the United Kingdom after attending all UKSL meets and the UK Nationals 2010.

Raykipo was almost rewarded with the gold medals at the UK Nationals and was only stopped by a new lineup that had not attended a meet of the regular season. However, the 12.5 average was Raykipo's best result of the 2010 season and won the UK silver medals.

Rookie Class in 2010: RAFSPA Typhoon
Raykipo did compete at the World Challenge, as well, and started the 2011 season with a first place and a 15.3 average in the Rookie Class competition. Raykipo then obviously decided to move up into the A Class and was in 1st place after Round 2 this weekend.

Royal Air Force team Typhoon made the same move after competing in the Rookie Class last year and kept up with their Air Force fellow competitors in the Phoenix lineup who competed in the A Class throughout the 2010 season. Both teams were tied with 13 points after Round 2.

It was an extremely tight field in the A Class after the first two rounds, and the missing scores will be added very soon.
