Did You Know...

... that Tenacity is back with the complete 2011 lineup?

Jenacity with John Hart Jr.
posted Jul 29th, 2011 - Tenacity was the only AA Class team that competed last weekend, even though a few more teams were on site at Start Skydiving for the meet. MESL Director and Tenacity member Joan Esson reported that there was a shortage of videographers on the meet weekend. Bushwackers and Dynamic Attempt could not present their jumps to the judges and used the time for training instead,

It was still a special meet for the all-female team of the Mideast Skydiving League. Three of the original Tenacity members attended the first two meets of the 2011 season with John Hart jr. filling in for Tristan Donley who was pregnant at the earlier meets. Joan Esson, Shannon Sweeney, Arianna Williams and John Hart competed under Jenacity.

Last weekend's meet included the comeback for Tristan Donley and the complete Tenacity lineup, including videograpger Beth Shell.

Bushwackers tested the A Class waters
Despite the lack of video, MESL Rookie Class team of the first two meets, Bushwhackers, used the jumps last weekend to try out the A Class dive pool and competition draw and learn some basic block techniques. Dynamic Attempt competed in the AA Class and used the day to practice, as well.

It was the first MESL meet of the season for the reunited Tenacity. Inside Center Tristan Donley returned after giving birth on Mother’s Day to her baby girl Tess, who had made some jumps in utero during the USPA Nationals 2010. Completing the line-up are Joan Esson (Center Outside), Shannon Sweeney (Tail), Arianna Williams (Point) and Beth Shell (Camera). Given that Tenacity had only one weekend of practice with the whole line-up prior to the meet, the team members were happy with the 8.0 average in the AA Class.

Joan Esson said that videographers may be needed again in August: "If any videographers will be in the area for the MESL August meet, please let us know so that we can get these teams competing."
