Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV shows Illusions highscore in Round 2?

Live judging on the big outdoor screen
posted Aug 2nd, 2011 - It is very difficult to keep up with the progression of the competition at the World Cup 2011. The scoring and DZ-TV system and the network is not working as efficiently as the NSL News is used to with CamScore. The host is getting the teams in the air quickly and takes full advantage of the good weather, which is the right thing to do. The judges are working quickly too, but public access to the scores is on the slow end so far.

The speed of the meet makes it also even more challenging for the single handed NSL News operation. Getting the scores and uploading them, talking to coaches, experts, teams and competitors, taking photos and videos and bringing the information to the audience is time consuming. Patience is important, and information will flow, even if it is delayed.

The press room does not offer the opportunity to see the meet videos while they are running on the large screen outside. Fortunately, webmaster Stefan Brueck does what he can to support the media efforts and provides access to videos and all material that he and his staff collect. By the way, he is also a regular at the NSL website...

Happy after highscore in Round 2: Zhanna Kazakova
It is a great competition on the top of both leaderboards. This time, NSL-TV features the two top contenders, Aerokart Aerodyne and NMP-PCH Hayabusa, with their Round 1. It was no surprise that the three French world champions have successfully shown Manu Sarrazin how to do well with Block 22 (T - Chinese T).

Round 1 brought the French favorite block, and it was an interesting coincidence that the score was a 22-pointer for the sequence with Block 22. It seems to be a 2-team race for the gold medals this time since Sky Panthers Barkli is busy fending off Gradient Alpha. There were a lot penalties in Round 1, and the German national team Paratec-Saar only fell behind the Russians in Round 1 due to two point deductions. The scores of Round 2, just posted, brought the Germans even closer.

It is very interesting in the female 4way competition where all five teams were within three points before penalties in Round 1. The four teams behind Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders are very close to each other. The French team had a low score in Round 1 due to a bad finish of Block 22. The video shows Illusions who showed the team's full potential in Round 2 and even outscored the Deep Blue Defenders.
