Did You Know...

... that the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders are only two points behind Open Class bronze?

Germans try to defend bronze medal position
posted Aug 4th, 2011 - Round 6 is almost complete in both 4way events. The videos of the top four teams in the 4way Open class in Round 5 are now available, and they feature two different races. Aerodyne Aerokart extended the lead over NMP-PCH Hayabusa to three points, while Paratec-Saar and Sky Panthers Barkli kept the same distance to each other - one single point.

This changed in Round 6 when the Germans won the round by two points and have the 1-point lead now. They are in sole bronze medal position, which is a big surprise. It is far from over though, and another Russian team is charging very strongly. Gradient Alpha beat Paratec-Saar by three points in the last two rounds and might become the stronger opponent. It will be a tough battle for the home team to maintain the bronze medal position.

Defenders try to challenge bronze medal position
Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders have eventually shaken off the Russian Illusions in Round 5 and Round 6. They are now actually tied with Gradient Alpha in the Open Class and only two points behind the bronze medal position with 108 points total. They outscored Paratec-Saar by two points in the last two rounds. Not only the two Russian teams are in pursuit of the Germans in the Open Class bronze medal position.

The Illusions have to watch out in the female 4way category. Polaris from Norway is performing very strongly and is catching up round by round. It is a 1-point battle between Bodyflight Aerodyne and Golden Knights. The 8way competition on the top of the leaderboard is still on a hold since three of the Top 4 teams are competing in 4way.
