Did You Know...

... that the 8way competition has a fresh start in Round 8?

French headquarters in Tent City
posted Aug 5th, 2011 - The NSL News was prepared to cover a world record jump in 8way from all angles. The preview of Round 7 was posted earlier, with the comments by coaches and competitors.

The NSL-TV camera picked it back up when the first announcements came for the Golden Knights and Aerodyne Maubeuge. Both teams met in their headquarters at Tent City to begin with their final preparations. Getting dressed, taking care of babies and moms, getting the last instructions, some warmup exercises took place before both teams headed to the hangar for creeping and dirtdives.

Both teams were as well prepared as usual when they went to the boarding area where the fan clubs were waiting. Mockup work and the last dirtdives took place before the Cessna 208 pulled up.

It still did not happen. The French 8-way team got to the 29th points, while the Golden Knights had a 26-pointer and lost a point. It was not a world record, however, the 8way competition has a fresh start with three rounds to go. France and USA are tied in 1st place.

The videos of the whole preparation and the competition jumps will be edited and uploaded as soon as possible. In the meantime, NSL-TV features Round 4 in 8way and Round 5. Russia's Sky Panthers Barkli had a great Round 4, which is included. Round 5 features only France and USA with their 23-pointers.

The Golden Knights added two points to the lead in Round 6 before giving up the whole 4-point advantage in Round 7. The German 8way team did very well in Round 7 and posted a new national record for a single round. Congratulations. The plane is in the air for Round 8 in 8way.
