Did You Know...

... that NMP-PCH Hayabusa plans to be well prepared for Dubai?

posted Sep 19th, 2011 - The latest scores from Belgium include new NMP-PCH Hayabusa numbers of the 6th competition that the silver medalist of the World Cup 2011 has attended this year.

The 25.6 average at the national championships las week fits nicely into the chart of the Hayabusa scoring progression ever since the team was founded in 2003. Team videographer Danny Jacobs provided the videos of the seven competition jumps in Belgium.

The weather did not cooperate fully in Belgium, and the 17 teams in all four categories completed only three rounds on Saturday. Four more rounds followed on Sunday before the meet was called after more stand-by due to rain.

1st place in Dubai: NMP-PCH Hayabusa
The 2011 season is not over for NMP-PCH Hayabusa yet. The Belgians still have to defend the gold medals at the Dubai Championship 2011 that they won in January this year. The upcoming competition is scheduled earlier due to the timing of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving in 2012.

Hayabusa won the $20,000 for the 1st place in January after outscoring Aerodyne Aerokart with new member Emmanuel "Manu" Sarrazin and Arizona Airspeed of 2010 with John Eagle for Mark Kirkby in the lineup.

Hayabusa's new lineup with Point Dennis Praet was obviously stronger than the new French lineup in January and repeated the victory at the World Challenge 2011. This time, the new Airspeed lineup was also competing and finished in 2nd place.

2nd place in Germany
However, the situation changed at the World Cup 2011 where the French national team had caught up with Hayabusa and won back the outdoor top position. The Belgian team was not as well prepared in Germany as necessary to beat the reigning world champions after coming back from the CISM World Championship in Brazil shortly before the World Cup.

This will be different in Dubai at the end of November. Hayabusa resumes the outdoor training this Friday in Spain with full focus on Dubai. The Belgians have two more training camps scheduled in Spain before traveling to the Mideast. They will feel much better prepared this time and expect to be ready to take on the French team once again.

Unfortunately, Arizona Airspeed is still in the same situation as the NSL News explained on 19 July 2011. Aerodyne Aerokart and NMP-PCH Hayabusa will not have the same opportunity as they had at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 and at the World Challenge 2011. Airspeed is still not eligible to compete for the USA in Dubai, even if they win the USPA Nationals 2011, which is very likely to happen. It will probably only be a duel for the top spot in Dubai.
