posted Nov 8th, 2011 - The aftermath of the USPA Nationals 2011 will continue for a while, and the first correction was provided by an NSL News reader.

The NSL News mentioned that the Golden Knights had their most successful USPA Nationals in history with three gold medals (8way, 10way, 16way) and one silver medal (4way), plus the qualification of the female 4way lineup as the US national team for 2012.

Only Arizona Airspeed avoided a complete US Army sweep this year, and the Airspeed delegation remains the only one that has ever managed to win all Formation Skydiving events. The NSL News related to the Airspeed sweeps in 2000 and 2001, however, those were not the only and the latest ones.

Airspeed, XL, Paraclete member and coach Brian Johnson reminded the NSL News that another Airspeed sweep took place at the USPA Nationals 2007. Brian Johnson himself was a member of the Airspeed 8way lineup in 2007. There was even a more recent sweep since Airspeed defended all four gold medals successfully in 2008.

The Golden Knights then interfered in 2009 by winning the 10way gold medals and again in 2010 with the 8way gold. This year, the US Army delegation turned the table almost completely.

However, in the meantime, and completely unnoticed due to the USPA Nationals 2011 coverage, teams in the Czech Republic attended their second indoor competition this year.

CZSL Director Jan Klapka had turned the July meet into a tunnel competition when the weather did not cooperate. Then he published an official schedule for monthly indoor meets in the winter time, as the NSL News reported on 3 August 2011.

The first official CZ indoor competition at the Sportflight Arena now took place at the end of October, and the scores are posted.

The Bad Boys had two members on the bench with shoulder problems, and Jan Klapka's wife Jirina Klapková filled one of the open slots. She usually competes in Rookie Class lineups and went straight to the AAA Class dive pool this time.

A new Rookie Class lineup, FFF, consisted of Sportflight staff members and freeflying coaches. Jan Klapka said that they were too tired to continue after five rounds...

Jan Klapka hopes that other windtunnels in Europe will join his plan to create a European Indoor League with regular meets at different locations. He has been discussing the plans and logistics with the NSL.
