The annual SkyQuest combination of big-ways (Kaleidoscope Dives) and 4way competition (NSL Championship) is the 11th time that National Skydiving League and World Team leader BJ Worth draw skydivers from all over the planet to Florida. BJ Worth has completed his dive design for this year's event, which will once again entertain and challenge the big-way fans over four days at Skydive DeLand.
There was once again such great interest in BJ's Kaleidoscope Dives that this year's event will feature the next big-way competition for the better dives between two 100+ groups. SkyQuest 2009 showcased the Falcons and the Eagles trying to outperform each other in the first live big-way competition. The re-match will begin next Thursday.
SDC Rhythm XP member Steve Lefkowitz does not get much of a break after the USPA Nationals 2011, as he is one of the challengers. He brings a team from the Midwest Skydiving League to this year's NSL Championship. SDC Tempo is a player-coach team that has trained out of Skydive Chicago this season.
The team consists of Hank Allen, Jordan McClellan and Obed Velasquez, with Steve Lefkowitz as the player-coach. Ben Herschman was actually on the team before Jordan McClellan took his slot. A sprained ankle had put him out for the season. Kevin Naftzger and Amy Attivissimo shared the video duties throughout the season, and Alex Bittner will be filming Tempo at the NSL Championship.
Tempo completed four hours of tunnel time at Paraclete in the beginning of the season, followed by approx. 75 outdoor jumps at Skydive Chicago. The team members started the 2011 season with jump numbers between 150 and 500. Tempo member Hank Allen also flew the Point slot for the Angry Birds at the USPA Nationals.
The Tempo members are now looking forward to having a lot of fun and doing some great skydives in the A Class at the NSL Championship 2011. Steve Lefkowitz added that the Tempo members will not stop after the event: "Look to the current Tempo team members to continue their 4way progress in the coming years, as they move on to future 4way endeavors."

The Hawks did very well without the player-coach and posted impressive scores at the Midwest Skydiving League meets this summer. Then they traveled to Eloy for the USPA Nationals 2011 and had a strong showing in the AA/Intermediate Class competition.
The internal Midwest Skydiving League battle in the AA/Intermediate Class competition of the USPA Nationals included actually a third team. SDC Jetstream Tango outscored both Angry Birds and Hawks in Eloy. SDC Tempo will now represent the Midwest Skydiving League at the NSL Championship 2011.
