The former Bodyflight Voluntas member explained to the NSL News during Rodney Cruce's flying session how he had prepared himself for the new slot.
The Danish top competitor was the Center Outside for Voluntas, Denmark's national team that finished in 11th place at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 with a 19.0 average. Now he had to fly the Center Inside slot for SDC Rhythm XP.
Flemming Borup Andersen has been ready for a while to move up to the next level of 4way competition and is currently working on his legal residency in the USA.
His first move was to California where he joined the Perris Blitz lineup, a 4way project that eventually did not materialize.
SDC Rhythm XP's selection procedure is not only based on the actual flying sessions. Interviews with the candidates during the tryouts are just as important as comprehensive previous investigations of each candidate's history and skydiving career.
In fact, JaNette Lefkowitz used to hire staff and was consulting business professionals for hiring procedures in her professional life before she decided to become a 4way world champion.
Her experiences and professional skills have been and are helpful for the Rhythm selection process. The team's first choice at the previous tryouts in 2009, Thiago Gomes, turned out to be an excellent choice.
It will be interesting to see who will make it this time. Two more candidates followed Flemming Borup Andersen on Friday.
