Did You Know...

... that round four had the highest scores of the NSL Championship 2005?

posted Dec 15th, 2005 - Round four of the NSL Championship is now on NSL-TV, while the previous rounds can still be viewed at the SkyQuest website.

The sequence of round four, A-Q-7-J for the AAA Class and A-Q-7 for AA and A Class, was the fastest one of the 10-round competition, and each team took advantage of the opportunity to improve the meet average. In fact, each team scored the highest score of the meet in round four, except Team America in the Rookie Class.

The 30-pointer in round four was also the highest score in a round for the Italian national team Sinapsi PD with new team member Pete Allum. Sinapsi had scored higher only once with any line-up in team history, according to the NSL records. Round six of the world meet in Gap 2003 had a faster sequence (9-C-Q-N), and Sinapsi PD with Marco Arrigo had 32 points on the scoreboard.

The Teiwa-Z-Hills 23-pointer was also the highlight for the new official NSL 2005 champion in the AAA Class. Only the June line-up with top competitors Natasha Montgomery, Thomas Hughes and Robert Healy as Teiwaz guests ever scored higher for the team. The 23 points in round four at SkyQuest 2005 were scored by Kris Byrne, Robert Chromy, Anton Kovalev and Kurt Gaebel, filmed by Alexandr Fatianov.
