... that Elsinore Gravity and Thunder were tied again after round five?

NSL-TV is back after a short break and resumes with round five of the Southwest Skydiving League's April meet. The horse race between Elsinore Gravity and Thunder in the AAA/Open Class continued as seen before. This time, Thunder was one point behind after round four and managed to eliminate the deficit in round five.
The sequence was again on the faster side (J-P-C-3), however, these two AAA/Open Class teams were locked into each other and did not let go. As in the faster round three, none of the teams could gain more than a 1-point advantage. Thunder won round five by this one point, and the teams were exactly where they had started the whole meet - tied in first place. The last round of the meet would become the tie-braker.
Elsinore Select and Arizona Divewerkz had been in a very similar situation throughout the first four rounds in Eloy in the race for the third place. However, round five was already the tie-breaker between these two teams. AZDW had come to a surprising 3-point lead over Elsinore Select after three rounds, and the US national team in the Women's category for the World Meet 2006 had reduced the deficit by one point in round four.
Elsinore Select continued with a solid performance and a 16-pointer in round five, while Arizona Divewerkz had a slow start into the memory sequence and an interruption of the flow just when a good pace and rhythm began to show. AZDW ended up with an 11-pointer, which put the team behind Elsinore Select by three points after round five.
AZ Fourplay in the AA/Intermediate Class had to deal with the same unusual situation that the Florida Skydiving League teams experienced in their April meet in round three. Block 3 with memory (Side Flake Opal - Turf) was replaced by Block 15 (Cat - Cat) and made the whole sequence (J-P-C-15) slower than the one of the AAA/Open Class. It was still coincidence that AZ Fourplay's lost point happened during the block maneuver.
Round five of the Florida Skydiving League will follow later, stay tuned.
