posted Apr 5th, 2004 - The Southwest Skydiving League's second meet of 2004 was successfully completed on April 3-4. Due to the dismal weather forecast, many teams never showed. To everyone's surprise the weather wasn't nearly as bad as expected. On Saturday, we found ourselves with three teams, all in the AA class. They were: 301, Perris-Ites - Bill Morrison, Debbie Parisi, Laurie Ross, Wayne Clarke and Terry Weatherford. 302, Elsinore Equinox - Kevin Thompson, Rob Cope, Charles Wynn, Don Mullenix and Todd Sutherland. 303, Divewerkz - Murel Addison, Annie Peterson, Blane Boynton, Simon Catherine and Kelly Green. We began the meet at about 9 AM Saturday, a bit late due to the fact that with all the wind and rain no one was around on Friday for the registration and briefing. Making a jump an hour, we had three rounds done when the weather shut us down at 12:30. Although things looked dismal, the teams remained on the dz. At about 4 PM the weather cleared and we completed the six rounds with the exception of a rejump for team 303. That rejump took place Sunday morning and by 9 AM we had awarded the medals.
