Did You Know...

... that the Carolina Skydiving League has completed the meet information of last weekend's season opener at the Raeford Parachute Center?

posted Apr 23rd, 2004 - Thanks to the Raeford Parachute Center, Randy Kern, manifest, the pilots, and the rest of the staff for hosting the first meet of the season. Also, thanks to our new league director Randy Garman, our meet judge Rodney Cruce, and team members of Controlled Chaos who coached teams during the meet. We had an excellent competition with a total of 15 teams! The weather was perfect which allowed us to complete the meet in one day. This year many new teams are forming. Out of the 15 teams, only 4 of the teams competed last year.In the Introductory class, we had four teams. It is great to see this participation because they are our future. Missing Slot and Insane in the Airplane had very close race outside of round three. We had nine teams in the Intermediate class and the champions, Carolina Ice, won with a 10 point average. The XDs were 2nd in raw and claimed to have sucked all the fun out of the airplane! Fox Force 4 and Where’s Tom tied for 3rd place in raw score with an average of 6.2. In the Open Class, Controlled Chaos were the meet champions with an average of 14.7. After the awards ceremony, we had an excellent BBQ dinner at Aviators and a raffle which included items from Raeford Parachute Center, Sky Cat Equipment, and Raeford Aviation. With many new teams in the league this year, the meets should be very interesting to watch!See the results for this meet.
