... that new NSL-TV show features round five of the FSL Shamrock Showdown?

posted Apr 26th, 2004 - The new NSL-TV show features five AAA Class teams that competed at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2004. Round five was an action packed sequence with two Random Formations and two of the faster blocks (J-C-16-1). All AAA Class teams used this opportunity to show off technical skills, energy and speed. It was the most dominating round for DeLand Majik with a performance near to perfection, which coincided with a flawed jump for the closest rival, Italy's Sinapsi PD. Both teams had exchanged the highest scores for the first four rounds with Majik being up by two points at this time. The distance grew to six points in round five with this clear word by the U.S. national 4-way team.Sinapsi PD had a good start from the Skyvan's tail gate and kept up with Majik throughout the whole first page and still kept relatively close on the second page. However, the DeLand team always picks up the pace after the opening page (9.97 - 8.41 - 8.53 seconds) and ran away from the Italian team on the third page (9.86 - 9.86 - 10.90 seconds) when Sinapsi lost the rhythm for a short period of time. To make it worse, the judges added a penalty for Sinapsi, which made it a four-point damage in only this round (Majik 23, Sinapsi 19). DeLand Majik had the faster block average and best times for both blocks and was also significantly better with the random work (1.14 - 1.36 seconds average).Round five was also a good round for most of the other AAA Class teams. The performances are worth downloading and watching the featured teams on the front page, as well as the other jumps that are available on the NSL-TV page. Both sequences of the A Class and the Rookie Class consisted only of Random Formations. Round five was the only round in the A Class where the 4Tunates from the Netherlands, with player coach and DeLand Majik alternate Shannon Pilcher in the tail position, allowed FSL team FSC JAMMM from Lake Wales to keep close and tie the score for a round. FSC JAMMM had posted a team record 10-point score in round one but now missed another opportunity of a pure random sequence to put something on top of it.The dive pool for the Rookie Class and FSL Scramble teams always consists of only Random Formations. Oestra Aera Majik, the Norwegian leader after four rounds, outscored the other three teams of Norway's Basic Camp by three points in round five and extended the lead from four to seven points. The Rookies, a local pick-up team, were still warming up for their final showdown in round six, while the Norwegian teams battled it out round by round. Enjoy the new show.
