... that the most realistic mock-up in the history of skydiving is located in Stupino, Russia?

Fyodor Mozgovoy, member of the organizing committee for the 2004 IPC Anton Malevsky Memorial World Cup, promised the NSL News earlier this year that he would send pictures of the most impressive mock-up in the world. The NSL News has seen and photographed many different mock-ups at many different drop zones and expected a similar structure in Stupino, the competition site for the Malevsky Cup at the end of June 2004. The jump plane in Russia will be a MI-8 helicopter, the same aircraft that will be used at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2004 in Croatia in September this year.
Well, the Russian event managers made a serious effort to make the exit practice as realistic as it can be. The mock-up in Stupino is not really an imitation of the MI-8 tail gate. A whole outdated MI-8 helicopter serves as the mock-up on competition site. It can't get much better than that. Many of the teams that will compete at the Malevsky World Cup 2004 can use this opportunity to get as much free door practice for the World Meet in September as they can accommodate while being in Stupino.
