Did You Know...

... that the Great Lakes Skydiving League launched the 2004 season successfully?

AerOhio Skydiving Center
posted Jun 19th, 2004 - The first GLSL meet of the season has demonstrated that 2004 is off to a good start for the serious competitors as well as the weekend “fun” teams. Five teams competed for bragging rights at AerOhio Skydiving Center in Rittman, Ohio.

The two rookie teams, FKKR and Bon Voyage competed head to head, many times on the same aircraft load, trying desperately to “one up” each other. The spirit of friendly competition was evident among these two pick up teams! At the end, Bon Voyage was victorious, due largely in part to an exit induced goose egg by FKKR.

The A class was entertaining to say the least. The pick up team of Sick and Tired shows that even DZO’s can compete among the troops and turn points. Once they are out of the plane that is! Let Go of My Ears was victorious at the meet conclusion despite an infraction on two rounds. This team, also a pick up team, had some great exits, which clearly set the bar and demonstrated that points are earned early in the working time.

Kaizen, the sole AA team comprised of Mark Timm, Sue Murphy, Greg Rick, Scott Steiskal, and Nate Varns on video, demonstrated the fruits of discipline, practice, practice, and practice. This was particularly evident with their exit engineering as well as clean and precise inters. Kaizen is sure to be the team to watch this season.
