posted Sep 28th, 2004 - The World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2004 is over, and the direct links to the event information and NSL-TV have been removed from the front page. This does not mean that this information is not available any longer. The links can still be found at the home page of the "International" league. The NSL News will also follow up with more stories, interviews and an evaluation of the international situation after this year's world meet.

There will not be a very long time period without Formation Skydiving competition though. The USPA Championship 2004 will begin this weekend at Perris Valley Skydiving in California. The new world champions in 4-way, DeLand Majik, and in 8-way, Arizona Airspeed, have to hurry back from Croatia to the US west coast where they will have to defend their national titles. The NSL News will follow up with a preview and more stories, as well.

The coverage of the world meet kept the NSL News busy and did not allow the time for the usual NSL business. Time to catch up. The first thing to do is the posting of the latest NSL SkyVenture Competition results. By the way: NSL News reporter in Croatia, Kurt Gaebel, used the opportunity to deliver a SkyVenture certificate to a German team that had won the NSL SkyVenture Competition earlier this year. The founder and director of the German "Deutsche Sky Liga" (DSL), Dr. Rainer "Exi" Hoenle helped Gaebel with the little ceremony in Croatia. Susa Serra, point of the winning team "4 Skyhigh", was packing for the German national 4-way team EADS in Croatia and represented her team for the NSL SkyVenture Competition award ceremony.

The NSL Playoffs 2004 had an attendance of 62 teams in the four competition classes. The raw scores are still posted at the "Scores" page of the September 11 event. The results of the NSL SkyVenture Competition are once again based on the NSL Shugar/O'Connor handicap system. All scores are posted below. Congratulations to the winning teams.
