posted Oct 8th, 2004 - One championship event is over - the next one is coming up. The NSL Championship 2004 is scheduled for November 19 - 21 and will once again take place at Fantasy of Flight as a part of SkyQuest 2004. A total of 56 teams are eligible for this year's championship after attending the minimum of two meets of the regular 2004 season and the NSL Playoffs 2004. All these teams are listed below, according to the averages of the two season meets and the results at the playoffs.

The defending champions receive NSL wild cards, this time including DeLand Majik. The new world champions could not compete at the playoffs since the team was already in Croatia to get ready for the world meet. Other wild cards were "hurricane cards". The teams from Florida, which competed regularly throughout the 2004 season, were not able to compete on the weekend of the playoffs when hurricane Frances visited.

Eligible teams planning to compete at the NSL Championship 2004 should notify the NSL headquarters as soon as possible to reserve the slot. Several guest teams are already on the stand-by list. Additional guest teams can be accepted as long as slots are available.
