... that a new round of NSL-TV is posted for the weekend?
posted Dec 10th, 2004 -
The NSL-TV began the coverage of the NSL Championship 2004 with the first videos of later rounds in the A Class and the AA Class. Round one of the AAA Class was added next. This was a slower round for the AAA Class teams (C-2-12), and Arizona Blade took a 1-point lead with a score of 17 points in working time.
The complete round two has now been posted and will remain on NSL-TV for at least the upcoming weekend. Round two and round seven were the fastest rounds of the 4-way competition at SkyQuest 2004. The new NSL Champion 2004 from Arizona used the first opportunity (Q-P-L-6) to add a new team record score to the log book. Blade's previous record score was a 25 at the August meet of the Southwest Skydiving League for a very similar sequence (F-L-M-6).
The Blade score for this round did not only leave the rest of the AAA Class field at Fantasy of Flight in the dust. It was also a result that would make it difficult for other world class teams to score much higher. DeLand Scape was next in this round with 24 points and caught up with Punky Fish (23). The Danez scored a 20 and lost one point due to a video penalty. Sebastian Teiwaz lost two points for an incomplete separation on the hill.
The sequence for the AA Class teams was identical with the one of the AAA Class. Elsinore Equinox prepared the correct sequence for round two after the debacle in round one and was able to beat Carolina Ice by one point. Ice gave up to points in this round due to a penalty. However, round two made it a better competition in the AA Class.
The situation was exactly the same in the A Class. GT Airlock had opened the competition with a 6-point deduction in round one and was three points behind FSC JAMMM. The Georgia Skydiving League team came back in round two and reduced the deficit to only one point after winning this round by two points (10 - 8). The sequence for the A Class teams consisted of the first three Random Formations of the AAA Class sequence.
