... that round two of the SSL May meet is now on NSL-TV?
posted Jun 8th, 2006 -
A new round of NSL-TV has been uploaded and features the second round of the Southwest Skydiving League May meet. The Florida Skydiving League competed on the same weekend and has already its third round on NSL-TV. The FSL takes a short break until the SSL teams have caught up.
The AAA/Open Class sequence of round three (M-16-1) is presented by Elsinore Gravity. Lou Ascione (Inside Center), Melanie Curtis (Point), John Hamilton (Outside Center), Steven Simar (Tail) and Pat Newman (Video) posted once again the highscore for this round with 19 points.
Uk's national team in the Women's category, Perris AirKix, was two point behind with 17 points and two points ahead of the Austrian team Monkey Circus. The NSL News recently reported on the situation in IPC's female category where France Maubeuge and the UK team prepare for a showdown at the World Meet 2006.
It is interesting to compare the scores between the two teams after France attended last weekend's first event of the "Coupe de France 2006". However, France Maubeuge and Perris AirKix have not competed on the same weekend yet. The different competition draw each weekend offers only a vague indication of how close the teams might be to each other.
Perris AirKix competed on the May 20 weekend and completed six rounds in Perris. France Maubeuge competed last weekend at the 8-round event in Mimizan. Perris AirKix is ready for the next meet in the United Kingdom on the upcoming weekend, and event organizer Andy Scott promises great competition. The NSL News will update the leaderboard as soon as possible.
SSL team Sweet Spot presents the AA/Intermediate Class sequence of the second round. Bob Lievsay, Jen McGowan and Kellie Middleton had Perris Fury member Chris Farina leading the team through the 6-round event. Shazza Simonian was filming the team. Sweet Spot won the AA Class/Intermediate competition in Perris and took the second place of 20 teams behind Cross Keys Air Pollution that weekend.
Aguila with Didier Beauvarlet, Bella Brown, Todd Graham, Julia Herrmann and Eugene Yamamoto was the only SSL team competing in the A Class that did not have a Perris Fury member as a player coach for the meet and still finished in first place in Perris. The 6.7 meet average won the second place of 13 teams on the whole weekend's A Class leaderboard. The 8-pointer in round two tied Skydive City's score in this round, the A Class team from Florida in first place.
Round three of the first competition in Brazil this year has also been added to the NSL-TV page. Enjoy the show.
