posted Feb 14th, 2007 - The NSL News story on January 25 announced the separation of California and Arizona, the states that combined for the former Southwest Skydiving League. Skydive Elsinore and Perris Valley Skydiving worked out the California Skydiving League schedule for 2007, which has already been posted for a while.

Arizona has now followed up and assigned AZ Divewerkz member Annie Peterson as the official director of the Arizona Skydiving League. The Valentine's Meet 2007 is the official season opener, and the whole 2007 schedule will be posted very soon. The NSL News currently prepares for the coverage of the first 2007 competition in Eloy this weekend.

Visiting teams from abroad and the local AZ teams (Airspeed, AZDW, AZ Directe and new line-ups) will make the competition already exciting enough. Perris Fury made the trip from California to Arizona last year and opened the team's 2006 season with an 18.7 average at the SSL Valentine's Meet 2006.

This year, Perris Fury has been busy with preparations for a very intense 2007 season. The NSL News had no information whether Fury will compete this weekend in Eloy or not. However, the Perris team sent a brandnew DVD to the NSL headquarters a little while ago, which will soon be added to the items in the NSL Shop.

The Perris Fury DVD is the latest update in the line of instructional 4-way videos and DVDs. The Fury members have already used the DVD as a coaching tool for their work with teams and individuals and now offer it for sale to the public.

The DVD introduces the team and its environment at the beginning. The menu with easy navigation then allows the user to get to the different areas of the instructional part: exits of the random formations and the blocks in alphabetical and numerical order, examples of the blocks in numerical order.

The best jumps of the team follow the instructional part. Videos of wind tunnel training are also included, and the "Bumpy Path to Greatness" shows several funny hick-ups of the top team. Finally, each team member introduces his/her favorite music, and a promotional clip offers Perris Fury services.

The Perris Fury DVD came along with a video of a training jump, which is the first NSL-TV video of the Perris team in 2007. The first meet of the California Skydiving League is scheduled for April 14 at Skydive Elsinore.
