Did You Know...

... that France Maubeuge had the faster times for Block 22?

posted Feb 27th, 2007 - The last NSL News story mentioned that the videos of the Valentine's Meet 2007 were still on the way from the west to the east coast, while Perris Fury's Round 1 was already presented to the NSL-TV audience. Thanks to Annie Peterson, Arizona Divewerkz member and AZSL Director, the whole meet footage arrived only a few hours later.

NSL-TV managed to format and upload two additional videos quickly before the day was over. Round 1 of Airspeed Odyssey and France Maubeuge can already be viewed before the videos of all other teams will be added for a complete NSL-TV coverage of the first round in Eloy on February 17.

The previous NSL News story evaluated the situation between Perris Fury and Airspeed Odyssey. The three videos of the AAA Class top teams at the Valentine's Meet 2007 now allow comparing the performances directly with each other.

France Maubeuge, Airspeed Odyssey and Perris Fury all had clean rounds with no point-deductions. The new French national 4-way team had the best start and the fastest first page (8.26 seconds), even though the young 8-way world champions applied the more challenging French and Italian way how to deal with an exit from a left-hand door.

The three teams had almost identical average times for the free transitions throughout the whole working time. France Maubeuge ended up three points ahead of Airspeed Odyssey and two points ahead of Perris Fury due to the faster times for Block 22 (T - Chinese T).

Guillaume Bernier, Mathieu Bernier, Julien Degen and Jeremie Rollet won a few tenths of a second every time Block 22 came around. Five pages were enough to add up to a total time that was enough to complete two/three additional scoring formations within working time.

It will probably be another encouraging fact for Perris Fury that the underdog was already able to keep up with the pace of the two world-class teams. The videos of the next rounds will show whether the tendency of a similar pace at the random work of these three teams will continue or not. The remaining videos of Round 1 will be uploaded very soon.
