... that Airspeed members guided all AA Class teams through the Valentine's Meet?

posted Mar 1st, 2007 - The missing videos of round one have now been added to the NSL-TV coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2007. The team pages and the video files also include team pictures that were taken at the competition in Eloy. These team pictures offer interesting information about the line-ups of all teams.

The line-ups of the three top teams were already covered earlier and are not new. Arizona Divewerkz and Arizona Directe were also introduced in previous NSL News stories. Just a quick reminder here that the new videos offer once again the opportunity to watch the former Airspeed members John Eagle and Gary Beyer in action.

The details of the Italian Spin Team and the Russian Crossroads are not avalaible at the moment and will be added as soon as the information becomes available. AAA Class team Texas Havoc includes 4-way veteran Scott Latinis who competed with team Thunder throughout the 2006 season. The complete Havoc line-up will be introduced later.

AA Class team Down 5 had a very experienced leader, as well. Fastrax 2005 and last year's Airspeed 8 and Velocity member Eric Gin was in Down 5's Center Inside position at the Valentine's Meet. His team shared the 1st place in the AA Class competition over six rounds with Black Ice.

Another former Airspeed member was in the Center Outside slot for Eric Gin's AA Class rival, Black Ice. Todd Hawkins guided his team through the battle with Down 5 in this competition class. Both player coaches ended up tied with 49 points and 8.2 averages.

Last not least, Andy Honigbaum completed the Airspeed leadership in all three AA Class teams. His team, Ficken Chuckers, was not very far behind the two leaders and finished the 6-round meet with 45 points and a 7.5 average.

Only the two A Class teams, Donkey Punch and Flailspeed, did not have any former or current Airspeed members in their line-ups. Donkey Punch won the competition with a 5.0 meet average. The videos of the next round will be formatted and uploaded soon.
