Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV presents the first video of XL in action?

UK team XL's Round 1 on CamScore screen - see video
posted Apr 17th, 2007 - The scores of the first California Skydiving League 2007 meet in Elsinore have already been posted.

The NSL News now continues with the coverage of the World Challenge 2007 while waiting for additional meet and team information and videos from California.

The NSL News stories on April 11 and April 13 already showed some video footage of the actual flying performances in the wind tunnel. The story on April 13 also included an attempt to capture the first reactions of Team Fastrax members right after the team's first round of the competition.

Today's story includes short videos of both talking and flying. The NSL-TV video camera was also turned on when the first showings of Round 1 appeared on the CamScore screens at Bodyflight Bedford.

NSL-TV already captured Team Fastrax from the flying level in the wind tunnel chamber. This time, the NSL-TV camera offers portions of the same round from the perspective of the judging camera, which is located at the top of the flying chamber. See video by clicking here.

Team XL's Round 1 was shown right after Team Fastrax, and this video brings the first pictures of the sensational XL performance on the first event day at the World Challenge 2007. XL's 27-pointer surprised everybody and beat Fastrax' and Odyssey's excellent 26-pointers for the highscore of the round. It was only the XL beginning of the first day...

XL in the flying chamber for a new round
The NSL News also continued trying to get first reactions of teams and competitors right after coming out of the tunnel and right after the actual performance. It was a new situation for everybody, and the first attempt with Team Fastrax was already shown earlier on NSL-TV.

The situation was more promising when a British TV station had already stopped Airspeed Odyssey a little bit later. The team had just left the flying chamber after Round 1 and provided feedback for the British TV audience. NSL-TV joined the interview and captured most of it for the NSL audience.

The team members explained how the first round of the competition felt, and team captain Craig Girard added information how a skydiving competition team prepares itself for the action: "You have to put pressure on yourself to get to the peak performance level." The video of the interview after Round 1 can be viewed by clicking here.
