Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV went on a sightseeing tunnel tour in Bedford?

Teams relax in the reception hall
posted Apr 20th, 2007 - The NSL News now goes back to the World Challenge 2007, while teams of the Florida Skydiving League and the Carolina Skydiving League prepare for the upcoming meet weekend.

The NSL-TV camera went on a short sightseeing tour at Bodyflight Bedford in the middle of Round 3. The tour included a few stops at different locations with a few words from some competitors. The filmed areas are all on the same level of the tunnel building where the entrance to the flying chamber is located.

Luxurious creeper pad
The entrance into the facilities on the third floor brings the visitor to the large reception hall, the centerpoint of the activities. Next stop on the NSL-TV tour was the rest and massage room. Team Elan's Julia Foxwell had just completed her Round 3 and had a few words for the NSL News.

The room next door has a luxurious creeper pad, and Team XL was preparing for Round 4 when the NSL News visited. The camera captured parts of the XL engineering and then turned to Doug Park who worked on his gear in the same room. Team Fastrax and XL had both completed their rounds, and the NSL News asked the Fastrax member for some feedback.

Outside deck on the action level
The next door leads to the large deck outside where the visitor can catch some fresh air. The teams use the space for breaks and dirtdives. The NSL-TV camera found the Russian Sky Panthers dirtdiving for their Round 4. The team's preparations include the simulation of the entry into the flying chamber.

Next step on the NSL-TV tour was the actual flying chamber. Several teams still had to complete Round 3, including the French team Aerokart Seloger.com with 8-way world champion Clement Martin-Saint-Leon. He had injured his hand during the last and official practice session, as the NSL News story on April 7 had reported.

French injury before the competition
Clement Martin-Saint-Leon had recovered quickly enough and explained that some medication helped him to get back into action with his team. The French team was on its way to do the first competition round when the NSL-TV camera passed by.

Then the NSL-TV camera walks the path of the teams into the tunnel's area of action. Airspeed Odyssey was just getting ready to enter the flying chamber to complete Round 3. The next NSL-TV video clip will include more live action from the flying chamber, including Odyssey's Round 3. Enjoy the first NSL-TV tour through Bodyflight Bedford by clicking here.
