Did You Know...

... that Round 3 of the FSL April meet is now on NSL-TV?

posted May 2nd, 2007 - After the beautiful performance of the young ladies in the Colorado wind tunnel NSL-TV goes back to real skydiving. Competition videos of the next round of the April 21 meet weekend have been uploaded. Four videos were available, and they include once again the Norwegian team Arcteryx. Round 3 is now featured on NSL-TV.

Arcteryx outscored the Golden Knights in each of the three rounds that both teams completed together, Arcteryx in Lake Wales and the Golden Knights at Carolina Sky Sports. The Golden Knights had to replace Center Inside Matt Davidson who recovered from a recent surgery on his foot.

This gave the Army team the perfect opportunity to test alternate Sean Sweeney in a competition. It was a technical test since the first three rounds included seven blocks. Sean Sweeney can put a 17.0 average in his logbook for these three rounds. The Army team then had to stop when Eric Heinsheimer hurt his neck.

It was no surprise that Arcteryx posted the higher scores, two more points in each of the three rounds. The Norwegian team is well trained after spending winter and spring in DeLand. The long training vacation will now come to an end. Arcteryx leaves Florida in two weeks to attend the first 2007 competition in Norway.

ZT Mal4mations exit
FSC Wind Damaged tied the highest score for Round 3 with Fast Fockers in the AA Class. ZT Mal4mations from Skydive Miami, the only team competing in the A Class that weekend, tied the team's own highest score for a sequence including a block with the 7-pointer for Round 3 (L-E-7).

Three Carolina Skydiving League teams competed in the popular Rookie Class. CASL guest team Russian Roulette was the winner of each round and of the whole 4-round competition in the Rookie Class, except for the 0-pointer in Round 2, which hurt the meet average significantly.
