Did You Know...

... that the Northern Plains Skydiving League has new rules?

posted Jun 15th, 2007 - The upcoming weekend offers more activities compared to the June 9 meet weekend. The international leagues have no meets scheduled after a very busy June 2 weekend. However, competitions will take place at five different locations of the NSL network in the USA.

Teams from Carolina and Florida compete together on the same weekend for the third time this year. The MidAtlantic Skydiving League makes a new attempt to launch the 2007 season. The Rookie Class Scramble in April at Cross Keys was weathered out. MASL Director Cherie Schuch reported that the forecast for the upcoming weekend is much better.

Colorado and the Northern Plains have scheduled their second meet of the 2007 season for the upcoming weekend. NPSL Director Sandy Grillet recently sent the last update before the meet to his NPSL following, which prepared his teams and competitors for some new rules and procedures at the upcoming meet at Skydive Twin Cities:

"Due to the increased litigation in our country and on the advice of our lawyers, the NPSL has decided that, effective immediately, we will allow alcohol at our meets... but only one drink per competitor."

It seems quite likely that the NPSL teams and competitors will copy the suggestion by their league director...

In the meantime, the NSL headquarters works on new videos for NSL-TV, which will be posted very soon. Recent server problems have delayed the uploading procedures for new videos and will be fixed soon. Stay tuned.
