Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV features the new Dutch A Class record of 23 points?

Whooops 2007 line-up
posted Jul 3rd, 2007 - Yes, the NSL News is still alive, and the Malevsky Cup 2007 is coming up next. The transition of the NSL News office from Florida to Stupino in Russia took a little bit longer than expected and has still not been completed yet. However, updates are ready, and the live coverage from Russia will begin tomorrow.

The NSL News goes back to the meet weekend on June 23 for now. NSL-TV features A Class team Whooops from the Netherlands with the 23-pointer in Round 8. The sequence of three Random Formations (N-A-F) offered the opportunity for the A Class teams to improve the meet average, and Whooops took full advantage by posting a new Dutch A Class record score.

The Whooops 2007 line-up, with Judith Muit (Outside Center), Peter Tak (Tail), Leon van Leeuwen (Point), Mechie Voermans (Inside Center) and Johan de Pijper (Camera), left the rest of the 13-team field from the Netherlands and Belgium in the dust with a 14.2 average after nine rounds.

Whooops competed in the Rookie Class throughout the Dutch 2006 season (6.2 - 7.2 - 8.7) and collected points at the ESL Championship 2006 (8.6) for the Dutch delegation with a different line-up (Leon van Leeuwen - Point, Erwin van der Schaaf - Center Outside , Mechie van der Schaaf-Voermans - Center Inside , Isabella Terpstra - Tail, Johan de Pijper - Camera).

Three team members continued (Leon van Leeuwen, Mechie Voermans and Johan de Pijper), Peter Tak and Judith Muit joined the new line-up for the 2007 season, and Whooops moved up into the A Class cmpetition. The 14.2 average is the highest A Class result of the 2007 season to date, and even the strong teams from Great Britain will have to work hard to catch up with the new A Class leader.
