Airspeed Odyssey picked up the pace again in Round 9, and the winning energy looked similar to the Airspeed streak throughout rounds four, five and six. The 23-pointer was the sole highscore of Round 9. The Sky Panthers managed to complete Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole) on the 5th page, as well, and finished this round with a clean 22-pointer.
Team Fastrax and Black Cat both completed 21 points in working time. The Russian team lost two points (18 and 19) and ended up with 19 points on the scoreboard. The race between the two best Russian teams, Sky Panthers and Black Cat, went back and forth in each round. It was obvious after Round 9 that Airspeed Odyssey would shatter the old word record average of 24.1 owned by the Sky Panthers. The only question was how high the Arizona team could keep it. The first two rounds of the meet were the average builders. However, the following eight sequences were not really that fast. Airspeed Odyssey had still managed to score higher than 20 points, no matter what the sequence was. The lowest Airspeed score were 21-pointers in rounds three and seven. Round 9 is now on NSL-TV, enjoy the show.
