posted Apr 19th, 2005 - The new round of NSL-TV features the meet opener of the FSL competition in Lake Wales last weekend. The NSL-TV fans can expect a lot of footage to come in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully, the NSL headquarters will be able to keep up with the incoming footage despite the time consuming process of editing and uploading the video files.

The FSL Shamrock Showdown 2005 has only been covered until round four at this point, with six more rounds of world class 4-way competition still to come. The first round of last weekend's second FSL meet in Lake Wales hast just been uploaded, while new footage from the west coast arrived in DeLand yesterday.

The videos of the SSL March meet in Perris will be posted very soon. SSL Director Pamela Stevens also mentioned that the footage of last weekend's meet in Eloy should be available within the next days. The single handed NSL operation in DeLand will do its best to keep up with the work load.

The editor job for the NSL-TV alone has already become a full time job. The work load will not become lighter with more leagues launching the 2005 season in the upcoming weeks. The NSL headquarters has begun trying to find ways how to make the process of dubbing - judging - editing - uploading more efficient.

DeLand local and computer expert Jose Melendez worked closely together with judge Richard Schachner in Lake Wales to explore ways how to achieve the goal of highest efficiency. It is not only important for the NSL to computerize the judging procedure but also to make the footage available for NSL-TV as easy and quickly as possible.

The currently featured round one of the second FSL meet in Lake Wales includes the best performance of the Norwegian national 4-way team Arcteryx. The NSL News reported already earlier that Norway delivered a very impressive performance throughout the whole competition last weekend. However, round one was still the highlight from the Norwegian perspective.

The Arcteryx score of 24 point in the first round tied the highest score for the same sequence in Eloy, Arizona, where both Airspeed line-ups competed for the second time this year. Airspeed Velocity posted 24 points for round one, as well (C-N-H-5), while Airspeed Odyssey had 20 points on the scoreboard after the team's first jump with alternate John Eagle.

The sequence for the AA Class (C-N-H-7) had Block 7 (Side Buddies - Side Buddies) replacing the mirror image Block 5 (Opal - Opal). Arizona Divewerkz posted the highest score with 15 points. FSC Wind Damage and Control-Z tied the second highest score of nine points for the same round. More NSL-TV will follow soon, stay tuned.
