... that Airspeed Odyssey lost a point in Round 2?
posted Jul 28th, 2007 -
The scores of Round 1 are posted, and Airspeed Odyssey continued in Raeford as the team's performance ended in Russia. The 20-pointer for the slowest round of the meet is in the books, Airspeed is on its way to exhibit another meet result on the team's new scoring level.
It would be a new statement if Airspeed can get to a 24-25 average level in this meet. The previous record scores on this level always included sequences with only random formations, which boosted the averages to a record level. This time, all AAA Class teams don't have the benefit of an extremely fast round. It doesn't seem to matter for Aispeed...
The Arizona team even included a swing move at the end of the sequence to get back to the top of the same page, which turned out to be not a very fast transition, as the NSL-TV video shows.
The Golden Knights were close to Airspeed with a 19-pointer, and both US top teams scored higher than the two best teams in France. The AAA Class videos of Round 1 are all available on NSL-TV, and Round 2 is almost complete. Stay tuned.
Round 2
Round 2 was not much different, Airspeed outscored everybody else once again, in Raeford as well as in France. The 20-pointer for the second slowest sequence of the meet was the sole highscore for the round. Airspeed even left one point in the judging room, while the Golden Knights had two clean rounds so far.
The Airspeed members had already looked at the video after dubbing it for the judges and were surprised when they did not receive the 21 points that they completed within working time. The AAA Class videos of Round 2 have been uploaded, and the NSL audience is invited to look for the infringement.
