Did You Know...

... that Norway Arcteryx still kept up with Airspeed's teams in round two?

posted Apr 25th, 2005 - The new round of NSL-TV continues with the coverage of the second meet of the Florida Skydiving League in Lake Wales on April 16, 2005. This FSL competition ran parallel with the third meet of the Southwest Skydiving League in Eloy, Arizona. The SSL meet's footage of that weekend has also arrived at the NSL headquarters, and the first round will be uploaded as soon as the DVD's file format has been successfully processed into web-ready quality.

The fast competition draw on the April 16 weekend had a more technical sequence for the teams in round two (O-22-2), which was identical for both the AAA Class and the AA Class. Norway's new national 4-way team, Arcteryx, had already caught attention with the score of 24 points for round one, which tied Airspeed Velocity's score in Eloy and beat Airspeed Odyssey with alternate John Eagle by four points (20).

The second round was not much different. Arcteryx tied Velocity's 16 points once again, while Odyssey won the round with a score of 17 points. The Norwegian team continued with the team's best performance in the young Arcteryx history and finished the 6-round meet with a 20.7 average.

The AA Class competition continued with the race between FSC Wind Damage and Z-Hills CTRL-Z in Lake Wales. As in the AAA Class, both teams were tied after round one and did not break this situation in round two. In fact, the A Class teams from the Florida Skydiving Center in Lake Wales and Skydive City in Zephyrhills would still be tied after three rounds.

However, the strongest AA Class team was Arizona Divewerkz of the Southwest Skydiving League, which was already ten points ahead of both FSL teams after two rounds. Divewerkz would finish the 6-round meet with a 12.2 meet average and position itself on top of the AA Class teams in the country. The NSL News currently prepares a profile of the SSL team, and the first videos will be posted on NSL-TV soon.

The NSL News also collected up-to-date information of the Danish 4-way project. The Elements are a part of this project, and the team competed in Lake Wales on April 16. The upcoming NSL News stories will include an update, including the history of the third-level team of the Danish 4-way project, which finished with a 12.8 average in Lake Wales.
