Did You Know...

... that Hayabusa's rounds nine and ten are coming with the final ESL countdown?

ESL 2007 competition draw
posted Sep 6th, 2007 - Hayabusa Defence's rounds nine and ten at the FAI World Cup 2007 are now coming during the final countdown for the ESL Championship 2007.

The competition draw for the championship event of the European Skydiving League has already been posted in Belgium and will pop up at the NSL frontpage this evening. It is a separate competition draw only for the ESL Championship 2007, which begins tomorrow morning.

The Belgian national team is well prepared. Hayabusa Defence has spent Tuesday and Wednesday this week in the Dutch windtunnel in Roosendaal and is in good spirits: "We are hoping for a very good result, we are feeling good and confident. We will try our very best to keep the ESL Spirit sword, together with the other Belgium teams, in our country."

Hayabusa Defence sees the team's biggest challenge of the new competition draw in Round 3 (15-13-2) and Round 7 (10-5-19). The World Cup 2007 champion will be in the first load of the competition tomorrow morning. The call for the first take-off is scheduled for 9:00 am if the weather allows jumping in Spa.

The ESL Championship 2007 will probably be a fun event for Hayabusa Defence. There will not be as much pressure on the team compared to the World Cup. The event is not a qualification event for any of the 32 registered European teams. Hayabusa Defence would have liked to jump the competition draw of the USPA Nationals 2007 and compare directly with the best US teams this weekend. However, synchronization of the competition draw was not possible for this weekend, and the teams and the audience will have to switch back and forth between the European and the US leaderboards.

The ESL Championship2007 coverage is brought to you with the help of:
On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, the pressure at the USPA Nationals 2007 will be extremely high for the top teams. The competition at Skydive Chicago is the qualifyer for next year's World Meet 2008 in France. Only one slot is available for the four top contenders.

The competition at the FAI World Cup 2007 did not include any US teams, as well. The Hayabusa videos of rounds nine and ten show that the World Cup winner was still under pressure at the end of the competition and in the top position. France Maubeuge and Sky Panthers were pushing, and both teams recorded the highest scores for the last two rounds.

Hayabusa Defence finally lost the 1-point lead over France Maubeuge in Round 10 and had to work overtime. The video of the jump-off round will be featured later. Now it is time for new Hayabusa scores on the leaderboard, the competition in Spa begins tomorrow morning, and the NSL News will provide the updates.
