Did You Know...

... that the Fury Bloopers video includes a painful collision?

Collision after the exit - see video
posted Dec 4th, 2007 - New video footage arrived from the west coast. Perris Fury once again updated the NSL News with the latest information of the team's activities. The footage included 2007 videos of Fury's 8-way project teams. It also had a part where Fury shows some of the 2007 team bloopers.

This video came with a thank-you note to helmet manufacturer Sky Systems, and there was a good reason to combine the video with a message of appreciation. The first scene shows a Piver exit with the sub-terminal move of Block 20 (Piver - Viper). Point Josh Hall's head makes solid contact with Christy Frikken's knee during his turn, and he gets knocked out for a little while.

Perris Fury appreciation of helmets...
The team realizes the situation quickly and waits until Josh feels good enough to move on. It surely is another situation where the helmet avoided more serious damage other than a shock and an interruption of the dive flow.

The video continues to show more scenes where a helmet is quite helpful. The other bloopers are not all solid collisions, however, they are funny and still make the heads and bodies shake in freefall on a regular basis.

Perris Fury's Round 5 at the July meet of the California Skydiving League 2007 - see video
NSL-TV used the opportunity to go back to the July meet of the California Skydiving League. It was the meet in Elsinore where Perris Fury posted its 24.7 average after six rounds. The round with the highest score of the meet, the 33-pointer in Round 5 for H-C-7-Q, has not been shown so far.

The video of this jump has now been uploaded, together with the Fury Bloopers, and the NSL-TV audience can watch the world-class team perform on both ends of the performance spectrum: the painful one and the glorious one. Enjoy the videos.
