Did You Know...

... that the NSL-TV coverage of the Valentine's Meet 2008 is now complete?

Arizona Divewerkz 2008
posted Mar 11th, 2008 - The recent updates of the Valentine's Meet 2008 with the meet videos of the three best AAA Class teams did not offer much news so far of other teams and the plans of the Arizona Skydiving League 2008.

Annie Peterson, AZSL Director and Center Inside for Arizona Divewerkz, informed the NSL News earlier this year that former Airspeed member Chad Smith has replaced Murel Addison in the Center Outside slot. Now she also added three dates of additional AZSL meets in Eloy this year.

The AZSL meets in April, June and August will be held in conjunction with the "Mentor Camps" that Arizona Divewerkz has been managing for teams and competitors in the past years. The AZDW members will split up for these events and serve as player coaches for the lineups at the Mentor Camps.

NSL-TV has now uploaded the last meet videos of the Valentine's Meet 2008. It was a good finish for Airspeed Odyssey after a tough meet from the right-hand door of the Pilatus Porter. The Ritz of Block 19 (Ritz - Icepick) came already almost as well out of the right-hand door as Airspeed's exits from a Twinotter, and the translation into the first page was probably much more satifying for the US national team compared to earlier rounds of the same meet.

The scores of Round 10 show that Airspeed Odyssey was on its way back to the speed and scoring level of 2007. Perris Fury did not make any serious mistakes and still ended up three points behind Airspeed.

Perris Fury's penalty situation
Some NSL-TV judges are still searching for Airspeed's infringement in Round 9. The details of the scoresheet have not been available for the NSL News, and the NSL News guess would be the bottom of Block 20 (Piver - Viper) on the first page.

It was easier to follow Perris Fury's busts since the team provided information of the penalty spots. The critical situation in Round 9 was the 17th scoring formation, the first Canadian T of Block 8 (Canadian T - Canadian T). It was apparently evaluated as an incomplete formation.

Canada's team Evolution finished Round 10 one point behind Perris Fury with 17 points within working time and lost the missing point on the scoreboard most likely once again at the very beginning of this competition jump.

The NSL-TV coverage of the Valentine's Meet is complete just in time. The three top scorers of the Eloy meet are now getting ready to follow up at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2008 this weekend.

The competition will be much tougher in DeLand. There will be eight teams in the AAA Class field that have the potential to score higher than 20.0 average. It will be difficult for any AAA Class team below the top world level to make it into the top ten, as it seems by now. The NSL News will follow up with a preview very soon.
