News Article Did you know that the sequence F-20-9 now has its second of three showings on NSL-TV?
posted: May 16th, 2005 Round three of the Southwest Skydiving League's March meet in Perris offered a most unusual situation, which became so unique only after the meet weekend on April 16. The AAA and AA Class sequences of round three in March and round five in April were exactly identical: F-20-9. Identical sequences between the competition classes, especially between AAA and AA, happen quite regularly and then allow to compare the scores of the teams directly. Once in a while, teams of the lower competition classes come up with higher scores than teams in the next competition class up. (more)
News Article Did you know that Perris Helion had a great comeback in round two of the SSL April meet?
posted: May 11th, 2005 The new round of NSL-TV shows the Southwest Skydiving League April meet catching up with the Florida Skydiving League's event on the same weekend. The coverage of the FSL meet in Lake Wales has already shown round two, while the footage of the SSL meet became available later and recently featured the first round of the event. Both competitions now show round two on NSL-TV with the same sequences in each competition class. News Article Did you know that the "double-bust" rule does not apply in the case study?
posted: May 9th, 2005 The NSL News story of May 6 brought up Perris Helion's penalty situation in round two of the SSL March meet in Perris. The NSL News once again asked Klaus Wellens for feedback, who is one of the four Advisors to the IPC Formation Skydiving Committee. Wellens was also the Chief Judge for Formation Skydiving at last year's World Championship in Croatia and at the Mondial 2003 in Gap, France. Wellens confirmed that he saw two different infringements. He did not think that the "double-bust" rule could be applied in this case. News Article Did you know that round two of the SSL March meet in Perris offers a new judging quiz?
posted: May 6th, 2005 The second round of the SSL March meet in Perris is now on NSL-TV, and the quality of the video files is on a much higher level compared to the SSL April meet in Eloy. The NSL headquarters received a few messages mentioning the fact that the NSL-TV coverage of the April meet's first round was not very good. The NSL News story of May 4 explained that the available footage did not allow a better quality and apologized for the poor shape of the files. The NSL News story mentioned the decision to upload the files anyway to give the viewers at least the chance to get an idea of the jumps. (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Divewerkz keeps moving up?
posted: May 5th, 2005 The NSL News mentioned plans yesterday to introduce a team of the Southwest Skydiving League, Arizona Divewerkz. The team's 2005 line-up has already attended two of the three SSL meets and consists of Murel Addison (Outside Center), Blane Boynton (Point), Paul Gatling (Tail), Annaliese Peterson (Inside Center) and Kelly Green on video. Arizona Divewerkz calls Skydive Arizona its home and got its start in January of 2003. Murel Addison, a visiting skydiver, and Blane Boynton, a local jumper, met on an organized six-way skydive. News Article Did you know that the first round of the SSL April meet is now on NSL-TV?
posted: May 4th, 2005 The NSL-TV has now begun to upload the first video files of the April meet of the Southwest Skydiving League. It was the third SSL competition in 2005, and it was hosted once again by Skydive Arizona in Eloy. It was also the second time this year that both Airspeed line-ups competed on their home turf. (more)
