News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights will challenge Arizona Airspeed at the Shamrock Showdown 2025?
posted: Nov 9th, 2024 The Golden Knights used to be frequent visitors at Skydive DeLand in Florida for the Shamrock Showdown. They competed at the event every other year between 2003 and 2010. The Shamrock Showdown has mainly been a 4-way competition, only with an extension to 8-way whenever there was interest and secured participation. The focus of the U.S. Army delegation shifted from 4-way back to 8-way in 2009, and the Shamrock Showdown 2010 had two Golden Knights 4-way teams on the leaderboard due to the 8-way extension that year. posted: Jun 25th, 2024 The successful completion of the Shamrock Showdown 2024, after a slow comeback from the corona crisis with an online version in 2021, a very small live event with Arizona Airspeed and NMP PCH HayaBusa in 2022, and world-class fields in 2023 and 2024, encouraged Skydive DeLand and National Skydiving League (NSL) to make new plans for the Shamrock Showdown 2025. News Article Did you know that Chicken Bolts had to wait patiently for the Round 10 scores?
posted: May 4th, 2024 The NSL News aftermath of the Shamrock Showdown 2024 cannot be complete without the final coverage of the popular Skins Game. One of the previous updates on March 18th had explained how Skydive DeLand's $2,400 cash prizes were shared between the teams. The last $200 skin for Round 10 was taken by Chicken Bolts who visited Skydive DeLand from New England for a winter break in Florida. Team captain Ben Liston and his team mate Doug Hendrix had launched Chicken Bolts at the team's first competition, which happened to be the Shamrock Showdown 2021 at Skydive City. posted: Apr 28th, 2024 The NSL News reported on April 18th that two teams from Florida would soon have a rematch after the Shamrock Showdown 2024, where AirGo and Waitin' On A Woman ended up tied on the A Class leaderboard, and the team from Skydive Palatka won the $200 cash prize with the highest score in Round 6. The rematch took place at Skydive Sebastian earlier this month. Both teams were back with the same lineups, Waitin' On A Woman on the same scoring level, while AirGo increased their performance from 4.4 in March to 6.0 in Sebastian and won the rematch. posted: Apr 18th, 2024 While the best 4-way teams in the world follow up with four more rounds on Friday in China, recreational teams in Florida and Texas are getting ready for their upcoming outdoor events. The FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 will be concluded with the last two rounds on Saturday, the same day when teams and competitors at the two regional outdoor meets of the NSL 4-way Network jump from planes and use the synchronized NSL competition draw for the weekend. The discussion of CSC Constellation XP's technique for Block 10 (Diamond - Bunyip) is far from over, and Arizona Airspeed's team captain Niklas Hemlin added his expert knowledge and experiences during a new NSL Live Talk conversation from China.
