News Article Did you know that teams in DeLand are on a smoke hold?
posted: May 4th, 2007 Several teams have currently been training in DeLand, including Norway's team Arcteryx, Denmark's team Blaze, Dynamic Force from the Netherlands, an 8-way team from Great Britain and the Brazilian Air Force team. The training jumps for these teams included the smell of smoke coming from the biggest wild fire in the history of Georgia. Winds from the north had carried the smoke from Georgia deep into Florida. However, the visibility for jump plane pilots and skydivers was still good enough to continue with any flight operations, and the teams did not have to interrupt their training camps. (more)

posted: May 1st, 2007 The NSL News recently received impressive videos and an amazing story of five young girls who spend their time after school with a new and different hobby than most other adolescents. They formed a 4-way team in Colorado and trained in the wind tunnel. The story will hopefully inspire other skydivers, coaches and tunnel operators to copy the efforts and help to create the future generations of tunnel flyers, skydivers and 4-way competitors. When SkyVenture Colorado decided to offer a youth league shortly after their opening in the spring of 2006, the staff was excited to coach kids in the tunnel,... (more)

posted: May 1st, 2007 End of April/early May has not been a very good time of the year for the MidAtlantik Skydiving League in 2006 and 2007. Freefall Adventures at Cross Keys has hosted a special event for the Rookie Class participants of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League in the last two years, and the weather has not cooperated very well at either event. MASL organizer Cherie Hall and the Cross Keys staff had prepared both events carefully and were excited to introduce MASL 4-way events to the newest Formation Skydiving teams and competitors in the Rookie Class. The 2006 event was scheduled for May 6 and was almost... (more)
